I'm a Nigerian-American artist who's goal is to constantly improvein honing my craft. I am a graduate of Columbia College. I love everything there is about art, I tend to like the process more than the outcome. The journey in all things are always the greatest part. I love painting in oil, but I also paint in acrylic and watercolors. I was taught to paint initially by Melvin KIng, a popular African-American artist in Chicago. However I had to move and lost touch with him. So I taught myself and honed my craft by myself until I went to college, where I fine tuned my style and learned new mediums.
This is the finished piece after, trying my textural technique. I painted on all sides of the canvas so it doesn't have to be framed.
This is the front view of this painting, I'm thinking of titling it the bee. My next piece is I'm going to try have a frieze effect, probably using molding paste
